Apertures and pinholes

We make use of the ultra-fine drilling technology, at which we excel, to manufacture aperture plates and orifices. We are a pioneer in ultra-fine drilling technology that allows drilling of holes as small as φ0.002 mm.
At Daiwa, we make free use of proprietary developed finish processing and special cleaning technology to remove nano-sized burrs and contaminants. The products have gained a high level of trust as apertures for electron beams and X-rays mainly for SEMs and TEMs.

Ultra-fine drilled products

Our ultra-fine electrical discharge machining technology can be used for fine deep hole drilling. Burrs generated by electrical discharge are removed by our mirror finishing technology for delivery of products as high-grade holes.

Apertures for SEMs (etched)/h3>
Etched apertures of molybdenum are part of our offerings. We are capable of high-precision drilling in molybdenum foil of 0.01 to 0.1 t in thickness. Apertures, which are vacuum parts, are vacuum-packed together with a desiccant and deoxidant for delivery. Etching products are thin metal foils and inadequate packaging may cause damage or oxide film formation, adversely affecting the quality. We have developed our own form of packaging based on our many years of experience.
